Bon Voyage! Part 1

This invitation has been so fun to do! Notice the banana leaves on the outer metallic pocket card? And the dense, organic green color? It is for a business that is rewarding their top performers with an INCREDIBLE trip to Costa Rica. Wouldn't that be amazing? So, in doing a little research about Costa Rica, I discovered the following:

A common symbol representing their country is an ox cart, as this is what they use to haul their #1 export.....coffee beans.
Other popular representations: pineapples, bananas, monkeys, orchids, rum
Costa Rica is the greenest country in the world.
Their government has plans to become the 1st carbon neutral country by 2021.
It was discovered in 1502 by Christopher Columbus.
It possesses the greatest density of species in the world.
It is in the same time zone as the Central US.
Tourism earns more foreign exchange than coffee & bananas combined.

So, I went with more of a "eco" or "green" feel to this invitation. The rich brown & green combo will set up a great theme for this event!

Since the company offering this trip is international, let us not forget the invites also in Korean & Japanese!

And stay tuned because this is only part one. This one let's them know they are invited. Part 2 will get them even more excited as it is a 3-dimensional package with lots of goodies.
