September Inspiration

It seems like everyone is really buckling down and trying to save their money these days. Weddings are ordinarily an exception since (in theory) you're only going to do it once, it's important to have everything the way you've dreamed. However, I've seen a shift and it just may be a good thing.

Life is cyclical and everything seems to come back around eventually. Perhaps the state of the nation and it's economy has been to "reset" our priorities and values a bit and help us look at what's truly important if life.

As such, so many brides are viewing their weddings the same way. They are splurging on the things that are the most important to them and finding creative ways to cut back in other areas...like venue. Backyard weddings are making a comeback and it's incredibly impressive what you all are coming up with.

Some amazing money saving inspiration above: Wooden table numbers painted in your wedding colors and mason jars in varied sizes for vases; french fry cones with your monograms printed on the paper; local bounty (fruits & veggies) at the peak of freshness for your guest favors; festive handmade wedding decor for the house; use whatever flowers are in season at great prices to save on arrangements; DIY photobooth with colorful fabric backdrop and a chalkboard sign that each person can customize.

Your imagination is the limit when planning your wedding and the main thing to keep in mind is that is doesn't HAVE to be expensive. Small changes can add up to BIG savings so be creative and think outside the box. Most importantly....have fun and ENJOY your day!
