Kirsten's Invites

"Something traditional but unique." The reply I often hear when asking brides what they are looking for in their wedding stationery. Wow, traditional - NO problem, however coming up with a twist on traditional that you don't see everywhere? A bit tough.

So, with Kirsten she let me throw ideas at her and was very receptive to anything! She knew she wanted blue (her favorite color) but wanted to keep it relatively simple.

This invitation was so much fun. We really mixed it up, keeping the wording traditional but the delivery definitely has a unique twist.

We used a black mat, a 5" x 5" metallic ivory card with a mini light blue metallic Envelofold, which has their last name initial and wedding date to keep it closed (this one isn't perfectly flat because I've opened it 100 times).

Upon opening the cutest envelope you've ever seen, you're greeted with the same monogram found on the 5" x 5" card.

Inside, when you unfold the metallic ivory paper, you find the invitation in traditional words but with varied fonts and frames.

This gives a better view of the metallic paper. Kirsten chose one that was not so shiny to keep the focus on the invite rather than the paper. It came together quickly and turned out just as hoped...traditional but unique.

I have now begun to put some of these up in my Etsy shop (click here). They are intended to give prices for the basic invite shown, while the end product will be fully customized to suit your taste & style. Please also read "Shop Policies" for ordering instructions. Keep checking back in the shop as I will be adding new things on a regular basis.
